Bolden USA Social Media Content Case Study

Back in November, we were approached by the Bolden USA, (a skin care brand made for darker skin tones) team to come up with some ways to increase their digital aesthetic on Instagram for the upcoming holiday season. They were planning to run a lot of ads and have sales (black friday, cyber monday, etc) and wanted users to be engaged when they visited their profile.


Before we hit the ground running, we conducted a full blown audit of their brand to determine what areas we should focus on. Here's a sneak peek from the proposal that we sent back in November:

After conducting the audit, we noticed that the brand needed content that was educational, engaging, aesthetically pleasing, and fun. Once Bolden approved of the budget, we got straight to work! One of the things that we did IMMEDIATELY was take new product photos. (they shipped them to us). Here's some BTS of that shoot :



We took selected the best photos, edited them, and created some graphics that complimented them as well in order to build out our social content. Take a look at some of the photos and graphics that we created :





Now, we have to put all of this content into a calendar and send it over to the team to approve before posting. We use Trello to send our clients social calendar's because it keeps it super organized, and they are able to make comments! Here's a sneak peek at what our Trello Board looked like :

The client had absolutely NO changes whatsoever, which means we were all set to schedule. Fast forward 2 months in, and the brand has seen amazing results.

  • 31% Increase in sales
